Myofascial Release Therapy Pain Treatments
About Myofascial Release Therapy Pain Treatments
Myofascial Release Therapy almost instantaneously reduces pain and improves range of motion. Used along with acupuncture, it is a fast and effective way to resolve pain and stiffness in the muscles and fascia.
Myofascial Release Therapy uses no lotions or oils. This allows the practitioner to “hook” into the adhesive tissue to separate it from surrounding structures. The application of the technique will feel like compression and stretching directed into the tight and painful area. Slowly, the fascia will rehydrate and begin to feel more elastic and supple as it slides away from the neighboring structures.
Myofascial Release Therapy also utilizes the mobilization of the related joints and tissues. The practitioner will request specific movements from the client. While the client is performing the proper movement, the practitioner will work by directing pressure into the right area. This will free the fascia further and reeducate the client as they explore the new movement. As proper range of motion is restored, the joint mobilization teaches the nervous system it’s new boundaries which will also reduce pain and spasm.
Myofascial Release Therapy produces local responses that rapidly improve tissue health as the body’s own processes are reestablished and normalized. Myofascial Release Therapy can be used for pain of all types like neck pain, low back pain, piriformis pain syndrome, knee pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, tight hamstring pain, and more.

I’ve pushed my body to its limits with nearly 20 years in the NHL. Todd helped me by working on some tight, over-trained muscles. Todd’s deep muscle and fascia work also helped get me through some tough pre-season training. I would recommend Todd to family, friends and team mates.IAN LAPERRIÈRE
Todd has an ability to identify and work out small problems before they become big problems. Regular treatments are as important to my training and injury prevention as any exercises I do at the gym or track. I’d recommend Todd to any athlete who wants to train consistently and without pain.ERIN DONOHUE
I was shocked at the immediate relief I hadn’t had in years! From back injuries, to hips, shoulders and more, Todd has yet to let me down and has treated each with the same great results consistently. I feel like a “new” person when I walk out of his office! My muscles, joints and tendons are ready for some more action on the mat!BRAD DADDIS
